Staff Arts Club

wire sculpture workshop with Martin Wright

ArtCare organises artist-led workshops for staff at the hospital allowing them to 'wind down' after work. The Staff Arts Club aims to relieve stress and combat isolation for those working alone. The sessions give staff a 'taster' of many different visual and performing arts, which they may then decide to pursue in their own time. Previous activities have included pastels, stained glass, watercolour painting, life drawing, beadwork, feltmaking, singing and belly dancing. The programme consists of one-off 'Discover' sessions and 'Explore' courses held over 2-3 sessions.
